Francis Edwards Peters
Francis Edward Peters (born June 23, 1927, New York City),[1] who generally publishes as F.E. Peters, is Professor Emeritus of Middle Eastern and Islamic Studies and History at New York University.
Peters studied at St. Louis University (BA 1950, MA Latin & Greek 1952), Fordham University (Russian language, 1956), and Princeton University (PhD Islamic Studies 1961) and was a professor at New York University from 1961.[2]
